Diagional Lace Socks continued

When I last posted about these socks, I had only just started on them. I am now almost finished with the first sock for my mom. I probably would have had the first sock finished and the second sock started if, it weren't for a silly mistake I made back around the beginning of the sock. See I had the toe finished (or so I thought) and had started on the foot and pattern. Well, I got to the gusset part of the sock and I wasn't coming up with the right amount of stitches on the back side. Instead of the stitches being an odd number, they were coming out to be an even number. So I ended up ripping (or frogging as some call it) back down to the toe. When I got there I found that I didn't add 1 stitch increase on the backside.

Anyway's I've now since fixed my mistake and have finished the foot, gusset, heel turn, heel flap and have 2 1/2 inches finished on the leg. I have 3 more inches left to knit on the leg before starting on the cuff which is only 1 inch more. So hopefully I'll finish this first sock today and start on its mate. I know that my mom is waiting patiently for these socks.
