July Spinning project # 1

On July 1st I carded up a batt of several colors of Merino fiber to make a batt of my Oasis
Merino. I then started spinning it up on my Ashford Kiwi Student Spinning Wheel. After I finished spinning up the first batt, I carded up a second on and started spinning it up. then I got to thinking.......why not card up a bunch of batts, so I carded up 8 more batts and then I took this picture of the 8 batts.

I orginally started out with 7 1/4 oz of carded Oasis Batts.


Here is what I've spun up so far with 1 1/2 batts of my Oasis carded batts.






This is the rest of the second Batt waiting to be spun.

Here's 5 skeins of my Handspun Oasis Merino yarn. These 5 skeins totaled in yardage at 1, 135 yards and 198 grams of 2 ply Handspun Lace Yarn.
